Mallorca is the favorite island of the Germans, because the beautiful beaches, the crystal clear sea and the beautiful resorts offer the best conditions for a successful holiday. It is best to start in the capital city Playa de Palma where a visit to the Cathedral is an absolute must. From the square in front of the Gothic church offers a magnificent view of the harbor and the Parc de la Mar. It is also worth seeing the Palau de Almudaina, where always resides also the Spanish king.

Only about 10 minutes’ drive from the center is the “Pueblo Espanol” in the “Spanish village” historic buildings from all over Spain are shown.

Art lovers should plan a visit to the nearby Joan Miro Museum.

 

Round trip

By the inland region can be reached in around 30 minutes in the picturesque town of Valdemossa. Nestled in the mountains of the Tramuntana charmed the place with its narrow streets and the houses of the 16th century. Also worth visiting is the monastery where the composer Frederic Chopin was once rented with his girlfriend.

In the north, Cap Formentor lures. From the observation deck on the north end of the peninsula offers a magnificent view of the rocky coast and the sea.

Not far away is the town of Alcudia also worth seeing. The historic old town, which is protected by a city wall, well worth a visit as the beautiful beach in the nearby resort of Port d’Alcudia.

There are not only beautiful beaches and bays, but also several caves on the east coast. The “Dragon’s Cave” in Porto Cristo with its underground lake is worth seeing.

To the south is the most beautiful beach on the island. The five-kilometer Es Trenc remembers the white sand and the turquoise blue sea at the beaches in the Caribbean.
